6th International Conference on Bioengineering held at MIT-ADT University Pune
A two-day International Conference on Recent Trends in Bioengineering (ICRTB 2023) was organized by MIT School of Bioengineering Sciences and Research (MITBIO), a constituent unit of MIT ADT University on the 20th and 21st of February, 2023. The conference was convened by Prof. Dr. Renu Vyas, Head, of MIT School of Bioengineering Sciences and Research. The inaugural program was presided over by Honourable Prof. Dr. Vishwanath Karad, Founder President, MAEERS MIT group of institutes Dr. Mangesh Karad, Executive President, MIT-ADT University and Prof Vinayak Ghaisas founder Director, MIT School of Bioengineering Sciences and Research.
The conference provided a platform for young students and aspiring researchers to interact with several stalwarts of international stature from the field of bioengineering. The Chief Guest, Dr. Mohan Wani, Director at National Center for Cell Science, gave the inaugural address on Bioengineering Trends. Guests of Honor, Prof. Jeremy Simpson (Professor at TU Delft University of Technology, Netherlands) & Prof. Justin Dauwels (Professor at TU Delft University of Technology, Netherlands). Other speakers included Dr. Chetan Gadgil, Dr. Aarohi Kulkarni (Associate Principle Technologist, Praj Industries), Dr. Yash Gupte (Product Manager, GIO Health Club), Dr. Prasad Kulkarni (Executive Director at Serum Institute of India), Dr. Chavak (Director, Venky’s PDRC), Dr. Sangeeta Kale (Professor in Physics at Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT-DRDO) and Director at Navyukti Innovations Private Limited), Dr. Srinivasan Ramakrishnan (Electrochemist, Battery scientist, Assistant Professor of Chemistry at IITB) Aligning with the theme of the conference, bioengineering for Healthcare and Environment several researchers presented their cutting-edge research work. A highly interdisciplinary science, environmental engineering can be a future game changer in improving healthcare and in bringing about a sustainable environment. The speakers appreciated the conference organizers for the quality of the talks and the discussed research work.
The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. Dr. Renu Vyas. The young researchers were evaluated by expert researchers and industry professionals and were awarded prizes for their posters and oral presentations during the valedictory function. The experts from the industry and academia appreciated the efforts taken by MIT School of Bioengineering Sciences and Research for bringing out the platform and paving the way for the dissemination of knowledge.
