Applications must be submitted through the online admission form.

Admissions are merit-based and follow UGC guidelines. Students are required to appear for recognised entrance exams such as NEET, JEE, MHT-CET, or PERA-CET conducted by the University. Where applicable, a group discussion and personal interview may follow.

Merit lists are published based on entrance scores. Final admission is granted post-document verification.

Academic Offerings

Graduation

Bachelor of Technology in Bioengineering

Duration: 4 years

Eligibility:

10+2 in Science stream (Maths or Biology) with minimum 50% aggregate for General category; 45% for Reserved category

Subject Preference: PCMB preferred

Entrance Exams: NEET, JEE (Paper I), CET

Post Graduation

Integrated M.Tech. in Bioengineering

Duration: 5 years

Eligibility:

10+2 in Science stream (Maths or Biology) with minimum 50% aggregate for General category; 45% for Reserved category

Subject Preference:

PCMB preferred

Entrance Exams:

NEET, JEE (Paper I), CET

M.Sc. in Industrial Biotechnology

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility:

  • B.Sc. in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or allied Science branches
  • Minimum 50% aggregate marks or equivalent

M.Sc. in Bioinformatics

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility:

  • B.Sc. in Life Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, or Bioinformatics
  • Minimum 60% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) in all optional subjects

M.Sc. in Clinical Research

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology /Microbiology/Botany / Zoology / Food Science / Nutrition / Agricultural Sciences)
  • BE or BTech (Chemical/ Biotechnology/ Biomedical) or BPharm from a recognized University
  • Minimum of 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent.

Ph.D. in Bioengineering

Eligibility:

For M.Sc. / M.Phil. Applicants

  • Two-year Master’s or M.Phil. degree in relevant field with minimum 60% marks or equivalent grade
  • Overall 60% across academic levels preferred

For M.Tech. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M.S. Applicants

  • Degree in relevant engineering or technology discipline with minimum 60% marks or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale
  • Minimum 60% aggregate in Class X, XII, and undergraduate level

For M.B.B.S. / BDS Applicants

  • Minimum 55% marks or CGPA of 5.5 on a 10-point scale

For Foreign / NRI Applicants

  • Master’s degree from a foreign university must be accompanied by an AIU equivalence certificate

Entrance Exams:

GATE / NET / PET conducted by MIT-ADT University

What is Bioengineering?

Bioengineering is the application of principles of biology and the tools of engineering to create usable, economically viable products that are useful in healthcare, biological and environmental sciences.

The PG program is for the students aspiring for a career in the field of industrial biotechnology and involves super-specialized training in bioprocess engineering, bioreactor design, modelling and simulation and computational biology along with hands-on industrial exposure.

What is Environmental Bioengineering?

It is a branch of Bioengineering that applies engineering principles of design and analysis to address environmental problems and provides solutions to problems such as the removal, waste management, renewable energy generation or biomass production by applying biological treatment processes.

What is Bioinformatics?

Bioinformatics is a fast growing discipline that will impact on precision medicine, personalized health care and wellness like never before. High Throughput techniques are generating massive data that require professionals trained in both biology and computer science to handle and glean meaningful insights from the data.

What is Clinical Research?

The program is designed to provide in-depth knowledge and practical skills in the field of clinical trials, drug development, regulatory affairs, and ethical considerations. The program includes hands-on training, internships with CROs (Contract Research Organizations), hospitals, or pharmaceutical companies. This program will open several avenues in the field of development of healthcare interventions like drugs and medical devices.

B.Tech and Int. M.Tech Bioengineering

Students should have passed HSC (Std. XII) exam with minimum 50% aggregate marks. Students with PCM or PCB are eligible. Students without Maths/Biology will take bridge course of 3 credits during the first Semester. Admission will be awarded based on merit as determined from the results of MH-CET, IIT-JEE, NEET or PERA CET.

M.Sc Industrial Biotechnology and M.Sc Bioinformatics:

Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology /Microbiology/Botany / Zoology / Food Science /Nutrition / Agricultural Sciences) BE or BTech (Chemical/ Biotechnology/ Biomedical) from a recognized University, with a minimum of 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent.

M.Tech Environmental Bioengineering:

Bachelor’s Degree in B.E./ B.Tech. in Environmental Engineering/Chemical Engineering/ Ceramic Technology / Mechanical / Metallurgy/ Civil Engineering/Mining Engineering/ Biochemical Engineering / Biotechnology or other allied Branches are required with minimum 50% marks in aggregate & a valid GATE or PERA score or equivalent.

M.Sc Clinical Research:

Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences (Biotechnology /Microbiology/Botany / Zoology / Food Science / Nutrition / Agricultural Sciences) BE or BTech (Chemical/ Biotechnology/ Biomedical) or BPharm from a recognized University, with a minimum of 50 % aggregate marks or equivalent.
