The Centre of Excellence (CoE) is established to promote collaborative research, innovation, and technology development through strong industry–academia partnerships. The inauguration of the Centres of Excellence on 23rd January 2026 marked a significant milestone towards strengthening collaborative research, innovation, and technology development. MITADTU-MITBIO inaugurated two Centres of Excellence in the areas of biomedical devices and AI-driven drug design. It houses four functional spaces designed to support research, innovation, and training, including facilities dedicated to biomedical devices, microfluidics research, AI-based drug design, and a corporate training hall.
The Centre of Excellence for Biomedical Devices, developed in collaboration with Syrma Johari Medtech Ltd., focuses on advancing medical technologies, translational research, and product-oriented innovation. The AI Centre of Excellence for Drug Design, established with Molecular Solutions Pvt. Ltd., supports research and development in AI-driven drug discovery and computational healthcare solutions. Together, these Centres foster interdisciplinary learning, joint projects, and skill development, creating a robust ecosystem for research excellence and innovation in healthcare and biomedical engineering.
